Custom Varieties
We prepare custom orders of special papers for individual applications.
Options include:
- One Extra Smooth Paper Face.
- Binders - Polymeric binders enhance strength, with a minor reduction in electrical conductivity.
- Bilayer Papers - Example: A nanofiber paper with a top layer of smaller diameter nanotubes.
- Thickness and Size - Papers between 4 and 50+ mils thick can be made. Larger sheet sizes available soon.
- Carbon Mesh Support - Nanofiber papers can be made with a reinforcing carbon fiber mesh support. The mesh adds 10% weight, and imparts paper toughness and increased electrical conduction.
- Incorporated Additives - Powders or fibers that can be dispersed in water can often be incorporated into the paper. Shown below is an SEM of a nanofiber paper with incorporated nickel nanostrands from the Metal Matrix Co.
